Abiforum to help businesses overcome negative impact of Covid with maiden forum
The Africa Business Innovation Network on Thursday, September 9, 2021, will be orgainizing a maiden forum for businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Network, through the forum will help businesses affected by the pandemic navigate their way and overcome its adverse impact.
The overarching objective of the forum according to the Network is to broaden the horizon of entrepreneurs as well as create a platform to inspire SMEs to be globally competitive.
Speaking about the upcoming forum, Chief Executive Officer of Abiforum Network, Precious Gyau, stated that the theme for the Forum: “Journey to a Sustainable Future; Building Resilient and Innovative SMEs for Economic Transformation” is apt since Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are now recovering from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Adding that for MSMEs to thrive and be globally competitive, staying resilient is the new standard for progress. This, he indicated can be achieved through the digitization of their business operations to access bigger markets, finance and vital information.

The forum scheduled to take place at the Alisa Hotels will see the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, deliver the keynote address to set the tone for the forum.
Other speakers and dignitaries expected to grace the Forum include, Senior advisor to the vice president and former Dean of Central Business School, Prof. Kwaku Appiah- Adu, the Head, Commercial and Business Banking for First National Bank, Mr. Mark Acheampong, CEO of AppsNmobile Solutions, Mr. Richard Bansah and Executive Director for the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Prof. Matthew Tsamenyi.
The Forum is being supported by the Ghana Enterprises Agency, First National Bank and Alisa Hotels with strategic partnership from China Europe International Business School, Social Enterprises Ghana, Jayset Consulting, Blackbridge Consulting, Reach Marketing Ghana, Tekhaven and Brandtrenz Communications.
