Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has won the 2020 presidential elections.
Mr Akufo-Addo who is the incumbent president, was declared winner and president-elect by the Electoral Commissioner, Jean Adukwei Mensah on Wednesday, December 9.
President Akufo-Addo won by a total of 6,730,413 votes, representing 51.59 per cent of total votes cast.
His opponent, former President John Dramani Mahama polled 6,214,889 votes being 47.36 per cent of total votes cast.
Total valid votes cast according to the EC, stood at 13,434,574.
The total difference in votes between President Akufo-Addo and former President John Mahama, according to the EC is 515,513.
