The Africa Business Panel, a market research firm, has said Ghanaian companies compared to their peers on the Continent have not been able to fully take advantage of the global crisis to grow their business.
According to the market research firm, Ghanaian businesses are least able to take advantage of the crisis noting that Ghanaian business professionals felt that their company was not thriving due to the pandemic.
The survey conducted among 2,166 business professionals across the continent, also revealed that 3 per cent of business professionals interviewed in Ghana fear their company will not survive the Covid-19 crisis.
Across the continent, 6 per cent of business professionals also noted that they do not expect their companies to survive the Covid-19 crisis.
However, 29 per cent of companies interviewed said they are doing extremely well and that the future is looking bright for them.
In North Africa, 9 per cent of the companies said they were doing better than ever due to the crisis, by far the highest score in Africa.
South Africa came in second, having a score of 5 per cent.
Other companies that participated in the survey, noted they are struggling but are optimistic they would survive the pandemic.
