President Akufo-Addo has permanently relieved embattled Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Adjenim Boateng Adjei, of his duties.
The termination of the appointment of Mr Adjei as the CEO of PPA by the President, is confirmed in a press statement by the presidency and made available to norvanreports.
Mr Adjei’s dismissal follows a report submitted to the president by the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), indicating that the former had put himself in a place where his personal interests conflicted with his functions as the CEO and board member of the PPA.
The president per the press release noted he is satisfied with the evidence presented by CHRAJ as well as the the body’s recommendation for the dismissal of Mr Adjei, stating the recommendation is properly motivated and well-founded.
Mr Adjenim Boateng Anim, was in August 2019 suspended by the president following a broadcast of allegations made against him in an investigative documentary titled “Contracts for Sale” conducted by award winning journalist, Manessah Azure Awuni.
