The newly refurbished passport head office located at Camel Abdul Nasser Avenue in Accra, was on Friday, November 12, commissioned by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The three-story edifice is expected to facilitate passport administration and acquisition in the country.
At a short ceremony, the president averred that refurbishment of the building was an encouraging one, noting the many years of efforts made by the Foreign Ministry to get an appropriate building to carry out its duties.
He commended the Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchway for her sterling efforts to transform the operations of the Passport office and modernising the passport acquisition regime in the country.
The President urged officials of the Passport Head Office to properly maintain the facility to ensure an efficient passport administration system.
