The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in a joint statement some weeks ago, announced an eight (8) day cut in power supply to the North-Eastern parts of the Greater Accra Region.
Per the statement, the two power companies noted the cut in power supply will commence today, May 10, 2021 to the following Monday, May 17, 2021.
GRIDCo and ECG in the statement explained that the interruption in power supply is to allow contractors work on its systems to improve upon power supply reliability and system voltages to the affected areas and also to the country’s middle belt, particularly the Ashanti Region.
The power outage to be experienced starting today, will commence from 6am in the morning to 6pm in the evening and also from 6pm to 6am the following morning.
Some areas to be affected include; Odorkor Official Town, Awoshie, Mallam, Gbawe, Sakaman, Abossey Okai among others.
